Mt.Hope Cemetery

Lansing, MI 48910

Just a bit of history was given to me about City of Lansing Cemeteries. The North cemetery was originaly the North Family cemetery. Then Delhi Township aquired it, and that has the old section and the new. No burials have been allowed in the old section. The City of Lansing aquired it in 1960.
Also if you have a family burial listed as Oakpark Cemetery, all burials were moved to I think she said Evergreen. But the problem is the burial dates are now listed at the time the bodies were moved. Not original dates. So if the person doesn't have a stone marker. Then you just have the date the body was moved. Oak Park was in the center of the city. It is still a city park.
This history was given to me over the phone. I have tried to make sure I copied the information correctly. Any way I can help anyone, please let me know.
