I recently came across a typewritten letter from 1920 stating that when my great grandmother Ruth Rosetta Smith (nee Bailey or Coons) she was buried in Foster Cemetary outside of Waukon, Minnesota. This is new information for us as family lore had said she was buried in a river bed (don't know how these things start). Any who, I did a Google search and a Google image did pop up but no other information. I called the Minnesota Historical Society who sent me to the Mille Lacs County Historical Society. Neither of those two could find record of a Foster Cemetery. However, Google showed me it it there. Does anyone have any knowledge of this cemetery? Anyone know of anyone who does Cemetery History or Indexing in Minnesota? Any other ways I could find out about this Cemetery or if my she is buried there, besides going there which is difficult as I life in Illinois? From the image search it does seem to be a small country cemetary.
