I assume you are looking for whom Paul purchased those coffins? I did find Nicholas Blasius, Sr.'s obit in the NY Times. He died 28 Sep 1933; what is interesting is that his burial was being handled by his own "Nicholas Blasius Funeral Chapel" at 710 Knickbocker Ave., Brooklyn. His 4 sons were also undertakers.
Here is what I believe is a current listing:
Alexander Blasius & Son 207 Avenue A, NY, NY (212) 228-7110

One of the sons listed was Alexander...I'm sure it's not him but maybe his son? Probably the same family. I wonder if you contact them, if they would still have records back that far? You never know!

Likewise, George Peth's obit appeared in NY Times 11 Mar 1931; it only says he was an undertaker in Brooklyn for more than 40 yrs. He died at his home at 85-77 Eighty Seventh Ave., Woodhaven; in his 65th year.

I am not finding a current listing that matches Peth.
Are you looking for more info on Paul Smutnick? What more do you know abt. him?

Lisa
