Classification: Query
Surnames: Thomasson, Frantz and Munson
Thanks for the information. Your messages have been an inspiration to look again at my sources to see what I might have missed. Castella Munson Thomasson's daughter Mrs. George Frantz is according to the 1910,1920 censuses and WWI reg card turned out to be George Frantz' wife, Bessie Thomasson Frantz. One of their sons listed on those censuses died in Calif and his mother's maiden name was Thomasson which helped tie him in. What is confusing now is that George Adam Frantz (d 1928 in Portland) is buried next to his wife Martha M.(d 1927 in Portland) in Columbia Co, OR. What happened to Bessie? On the 1920 census she is with George in The Dalles. Is Bessie a nickname for Martha? Is Bessie buried in Wasco Co? It appears now unless she is found I will never know. Is their anyone who can do a lookup in The Dalles' directories from 1917-1928 for George A, Martha M or Bessie Frantz? Her mother and Grandpa Munson are listed in the 1917 The Dalles Directory.
