How did you do with your research into Philadelphia history? The 1840 were very, very lively times.

I have several relatives from colonial Philadelphia. I have run into the "removals" on a couple of occasions. I had relatives buried in Blockley Baptist, which is now a litter-strewn empty lot not far from the Zoo. No records remain. I only know of this because of the FamilySearch site which has actual copies of death certificates. I had yet others that were buried in Third Baptist, also later removed and now a strip mall in Southwark section.

Philadelphia has a very poor record of maintaining hollowed grounds.
