I have recently begun research on the O'Berry ancestry. My grandfather was James Henry O'Berry and he was originally from the Isle of White, Southampton County area. I believe his father was John Samuel, born in 1874, married to Adeline (sp?). It appears tha John Samuel had a brother named James also, born 1877. John Samuel's father was John, born in 1827' married to Sallie A. Does any of this information fit with any of the research you've done?

Looking for burial site of my grandmother Lilly Pearl Wall married my grandfather Dudley C. Jewell at Elkhoen WVA in 1900. They had a daughter around 1902 and my dad Cyrus in 1904. Lilly died in childbirth around 1906 in the area of southwest Va around Giles County or Mercer County Va. Benn looking for a few years with no leads. My grandad died in 1954 befor I started looking.

Families will include, Harris, Jamerson (or any spelling of) Blankenship, Cumby (all spellings of) Flippens, Hardy, Hardiman, Tyree, Martin, Coleman and probably many more, but I don't want to be a hog about it. :-)

Jackson Family Cementary in Trevilians, VA

I am looking for the Jackson Family Cementary located in Trevilians, VA not far from Louisa County, VA. My aunt, Bertha (Hunter) Jackson is buried there, and I'm trying to locate it. She died 1944 in Philadelphia, Pa and was taken back to her husband's family cementary. If you know about this or any of her children please reply. Their names are Julia, Lawrence,Bernard, and Catherine. Today they will be in their 70's. My mother is their only aunt on their mother side and she wants to find them. Fannie (Hunter) Coleman 89 years old living in Philadelphia,PA.

Don't know if this will help.I'm having similar problem with finding my grandfather...You may have to check with the grounds people...If they couldn't afford a headstone at the time but paid for a plot they would have been buried with no marker. At which point one of two things could have occured, a}buried and there is some record at the cemetary, or b, unfortunately noone made any inquistions on the plot was resold and sold to someone else remains of previousowner unknown.

Looking for information on the death of Genevieve T. Winn (nee Motyka), who supposedly passed between late August and early October 2012. She was a resident of Arlington for many, many years, and had worked in the Pentagon until retirement.

Clerk of Court has no record of her death, but person at her phone number says she died, but has failed to send an obituary.

She hss only two living relatives, who are eager to know what happened to her.

Wray Family Cemetery, White Plains, Brunswick Co.

Is anyone familiar with the Wray Family Cemetery in White Plains, Brunswick County?

I am in search of confirmation of a burial there, for which the stone may be damaged or missed or buried. I have the story of my GGrandfather, who says he visited his grandmother Tabitha Wray's grave there in about 1947, yet there is no longer a stone because it cannot be located as of August 2012.

Is there a known caretaker for this family plot? There are stones for some of Tabitha's children located there, but none for Tabitha or her husband.

Any info about even the next step I might take would be greatly appreciated.

I have been to Oakwood Cemetary, I live in Georgia and had limited time to do research; however, I looked at the log book they keep and did not see my great grandfather's name listed on it. I feel that he was buried at Oakwood John Benton York or John B. York. He died at Chimborazo Hospital
# 2 on March 7, 1863. He was not brought back home and I would really like to find his grave so that a plaque could be put there in his memory. I have his Medical Records (Through National Archives) and the information when and where he died but to no avail I still could not account for his place of rest. Could someone help me?

That is wonderful information. We are related. I also married a Martin of no relation. Isn't that funny.Luther was my grandfather's, James Allen Martin, Sr, father. He buried next to Luther and Levi at Salem United Methodist church in Spout Spring,Va.

Yes, I know who Azariah Martin's parent were. William B. Martin, from Campbell county, and Mary ?
Appomattox was formed from Buckingham, Campbell, and Prince Edward counties.
Luther Elbert had a sister, Julia Ann Martin, that married Pryor Davenport Martin (no direct kin to each other, but making for lots of double first couins) they are my great great grand parents.

Nelson and Clara are in fact buried at Downing's ( Located at Oak Hall by the way) in section "U" along with their sons Sage and Hayes. Ref: " From tears to memoriws II" by James Waine Carpenter, Aug. 2009

HART tombstone in Richmond VA

Was in St. John's Episcopal Church in Richmond (the historical one) cemetary a few years back. There was a large memorial stone or tombstone for a HART male, I think from Scotland who was part of the civil war (??). Am trying to link up with my ancestor Jeanette Hart Weddell Hooker, hoping to connect her to someone. Apparently her father was of some good repute back then, received land in Indiana for his service to the US. Does anyone have any info on this particular marker? Thank you SO much!

Let me try this again. I do not know of any eli Cantrell cemetery in the Pound area. however there is an Levi cemetery upon Bold Camp. It is one of my family cemeteries in wise county. All of my grand preants are there along with aunts / uncles and numerous other relatives. I hope this will help ylou in your seaqrch.

I am in need of advice here. I am Having trouble locating a grave for Charlie Stewart (Variation: Stuart) Barrett. He was born 2 September 1913 and died 28 December 1995. He lived in Fries, Virginia. His First wife was Euria Billings Barret (Maiden: Euria Jane Billings) These are my ggma and pa. His second wife was Lillie Mae. Spelling unknown and I do not know her maiden name. I know the cemetery they were buried in. I have found Members of the Billings family in the cemetery that are known to be buried with them. I have found two websites about this cemetery, Mount Olivet Union Baptist Church. One site has more names on it than the other. So I am wondering if just some names were missed? I am so confused and would appreciate any help in finding my great grandparents. I am willing to give further information too. The websites are:
