Henry Brooks 1854-????

I am trying to find Henry Brooks. He was born about 1854 in Germany, lived in Lafayette County and is likely buried there. He was listed as being a butcher in the 1880 census in Darlington, Lafayette County. In 1900, his wife (Nellie Dixon)and children (Fred W., Della, Mabel) were in Stephenson County IL and she was still listed as married, but Henry was not there. In 1906, Nellie remarried to George J. Brown.

Could someone PLEASE see if Henry is buried in Lafayette County (likely Darlington). I live about 3 hours from there and am not able to go.

Thanks in advance,
Jaymi

I have information that my husband's ggggrandfather, Clinton Love died on Sept. 22, 1874 in Vernon County. Can anyone tell me how to obtain a list of the cemeteries from that county? Also, records from the churches that might have that sort of information. Clinton is a brick wall for us, and we do not even know for certain where he is buried or if there is a headstone that could verify birthdate and death date, or any further inscription.
Thank you,
Shirley

Next to his mother's name it has a section for "mother of how many children" with 7 and "number of children living" which is 6.
The census date was June 1900.

I need his birthdate and death dates if available. I was in Hawyard in March 2004 and couldn't find anything in the courthouse death records. I wasn't able to get to the city hall to get cemetery records.

Thanks

Hanzel/Kusnir family in Ohio, Canada, and Krasna Luka, Czech.

I am looking for information on my Grandmother's family. John Hanzel married Mary Kusnir in Krasna Luka, Czechoslovakia. Both were born in Krasna Luka in 1900. They came to the U.S., through Canada, around 1926. They ended up settling in Cleveland, Ohio.
Mary had 5 sisters: Anna (Stibir), Katherine (Novisedlak), Susan (Kandrac), Veronica, and Clara (Matea), and 3 brothers: Martin, Stephen, John. I believe Anna, Katherine, Susan, Martin, and Stephen stayed in Czech. John and Veronica immigrated to Canada, and Clara also came to Cleveland, Ohio. They're parents were Martin Kusnir and Anna Berdis.
I have no idea if John Hanzel has any sibilings. His parents were Paul Hanzel and Vera Pojectly.
John and Mary had 8 children.
John died in January of 1976, and Mary died in December of 1977.

per the death record of a person I am researching, she was buried in PRESBYTERIAN Cemetery in Richland County Wisconsin. I cannot figure out what it is named now. The township may have been Marshall. My Pico search for the woman turns up nada. I am actually using her to find her husband *my ggg grandfather. She is his second wife.
No death info for him of course. I have been all over the Richland County web page and looked online at who they have. I just cannot figure it out. I don't know if it is now defunct and not listed etc.

Wisconsin > Milwaukee Cemetery posters:

Has anyone found a published source, or know of something written up [newspaper article?] about the founding of Polish Union Cemetery in Milwaukee and when it became St. Adalbert Cemetery [in the 1930s or 1940s?]?

The Milwaukee Public Library has many church anniversary booklets that would ordinarily be a good source [like Holy Trinity parish], but does not have one listed online for St. Adalbert's parish.

I have not done a thorough search of local history books detailing the history of the Polish community in Milwaukee other than reading up about St. Stanilaus and St. Josephat parishes. Maybe someone can refer me to something in that area.

Thanks for any followup, even if it's an unnofficial history of the cemetery's founding and change.

Gary Rebholz
Milwaukee, Wisconsin
