Can't help you with Sattis Cemetery, you will need to find someone familiar with it. Most of the cemeteries do not have official caretakers and there is no state or local registry.

For 1936 Charleston, Charleston Daily Mail and Charleston Gazette. You can request searches for articles and obits through our Library if you are unable to visit yourself. Info on research request at http://www.wvculture.org/history/services.html#research. You may view lists of newspapers available on microfilm at the WV Archives and History Library at http://www.wvculture.org/history/newspapers/newsmic.html.
