Surnames: Herring, Hering, Harang
Thomas Herring/Hering/Harang immigrated with brother James @1630 to Dedham, MA. He has been reference as a "famous" Danish explorer from Hjorring. I realize that this is very early to have much written history but I'm hoping that someone out there has some information that may point me in the right direction. I'm told that in Denmark, that early, he would have been referred to Thomas of Hjorring. Is that true, and if so, I would I proceed in research?
