It's obvious some people aren't looking very far if they think they've seen the 1950 census somewhere, nor for those who don't know that the Census are released after 72 years, nor the fact that the 1890 Census was mostly lost, with the exception of a very few locations.
Ancestry does have all of that as well as specific info about what is contained in each census that has been released on the home page for their U.S. Federal Census Collection:

It is a good idea to go to the homepage of any data collection one gets in their Results to find out exactly what one is getting in that collection. So many times people put themselves through unnecessary steps simply because they didn't know what it was they were getting when they get a hit in a database. A reading of Census instructions for each year can tell you a lot of things.
