He is in the 1860 census for Iowa, Clayton, Milville. He is listed as Anton White, 40, a farmer, born in Oldenberg. The other people listed are Lena, 22, born in Oldenberg, all others born in Iowa, Henry, 13, Julius, 1, Frank. 12, Ann, 10, Joseph, 8, John, 5. Fast forward to 1870 and they are in Clayton county, Guttenberg, surname listed as Witte. Unfortunately prior to 1880 no family relationships are shown. I wanted to say Lena appears to be a daughter but in 1870 there is a new child only 6, so could Lena have been the wife? In 1880 his wife is Helene. Don
