Needing help finding someone in the 1880 census!!

Classification: Query
Surnames: Elzy, Elzey, Genes, Milton
My cousin Tammy and I have extensively researched the Elzy (Elzey and many other spellings) surname of the Louisville, KY area (mostly Jefferson and Bullitt Counties in KY and Clark, Floyd and Harrison Counties in southern Indiana). We have an uncle that neither of us can find in the 1880 census.

His name was Leven Cooper Elzy, b. 24 Feb 1835
m1. Eliza Melton 8 Sep 1853, Jefferson Co., KY
m2. Polly Ann Genes 18 Dec 1864

Between the two marriages, he had the following children:
George T. Elzy
Clinton G. Elzy
Oscar Pinkney Elzy
Joseph Elzy
Solomon Elzy
Mary E. Elzy
Eliza A. Elzy
William M. Elzy
Silas Elzy (We have been unable to determine if Silas and William were two different children, or may possibly be the same person.)

Here is where we have found him in the census:
1850 - District 2, Jefferson, Kentucky
1860 - Charlestown, Clark, Indiana
1870 - Jeffersonville, Clark, Indiana
1880 -
1900 - Louisville, Ward 7, Jefferson, Kentucky
1910 - Cross Roads, Jefferson, Kentucky
died 1 Jul 1912, Bullitt Co., KY

Here is a list of various ways we have found his name listed in records:
Eleven C. Elzy
Cooper Elzy
Elve C Elzey
Leven Cooper Elzy

IF anyone has time to look and can find Leven Cooper Elzy in the 1880 census, we sure would greatly appreciate it. I think we have both exhausted about every search method we can think of and still have not had any luck. I am beginning to think his household may have been skipped,...but JUST IN CASE someone can find it and we have overlooked it, I thought it was worth asking! THANK YOU,
