My G-G-Grandafther was sentenced in Tipperary Ireland in 1828 and transported on Eliza II or Eliza 5 depending on what you are reading. He arrived on Eliza 20/6/1829 and was sent for life. He applied for Conditional Pardon on 24 Sep 1844 which was granted on 1 Feb 1845. He was granted permission to marry on 29 Jan 1845 to his first wife Margaret Clynes who is sometimes listed as Mary Clynes. After becoming a widow in 1858 he re-married on 2 Jan 1859 to Margaret Tydd.
I would like to find out how to search his movements and work etc from his arrival till he married (16 odd years in the colony) He must have been assigned to someone during that time.
