My gt. Grandfather, Pvt. Sylvanus Wheeler robinson and his brother Adonrian Judson robinson were temporarily at this prison before being transferred onto Camp Morton, Indianapolis, IN in July/Aug 1863 after being captured near Clinton, MS following the the Battle of Vicksburg, MS. Alsomy wife's gt. gt. grandfather William M.C. Minton was at Camp Morton after the battle of Piedmont, VA
