Hi Jim,

I believe my great great great grandfather had a link with the Royal Irish Constabulary. I think I was told it would be January 1857 on the Irish Constabulary List, his name was John Adam. Being a novice, I don't understand how the List works. He was born Dublin 1799 and entered the Navy 1811 - 1817 until HMS Partridge was broken up. He then reentered the service in 1822 as ? a civilian Treasury appointee from London. I have his complete service record, he ended up as a Chief Inspecting Commander.

I don't suppose you could check for him Jan 1857, I'm sorry if this doesn't make sense!

Thank you in anticipation,
