Alexander Simpson, police constable in Scotland, 1800's

Surnames: Simpson, Bayne, Bain, Marnoch
I am looking for any information on Alexander Simpson b about 1820's, died after 1881 in Scotland. Married to Mary Bayne/Bain 22 Nov 1852, one son that I know of, Richard Simpson, married to Jane Marnoch. Alexander Simpson used to be a police constable in Scotland. Any information would be greatly appreciated.
