Would anyone know the first name of the member of the "Wild Bunch"(Butch Cassidy-Sundance Kids' group)who was known as "The Tall Texan"?I think his last name was Kirkpatrick. He was arrested boarding a train here in StLouiss in the early 1900s.

Ben Kilpatrick was known as "the Tall Texan." He was arrested by the Pinkertons in 1901 and spent 11 years in jail. In 1912 he was shot dead while trying to robt the Sunset Limited of the Southern Pacific at Dryden, Texas. Kilpatrick is in the famous photo of the "Wild Bunch" -- he is the one sitting on the far right-hand side.

Ooos. I read the caption incorrectly. In the famous Wild Bunch photo taken in Fort Worth, Texas in December of 1900, Ben Kilpatrick is the one in the middle (front row). He is between the Sundance Kid (Harry Longabaugh) and Butch Cassidy. See "Encyclopedia of Western Gunfighters" by Bill O'Neal

Anyone have any information?

I'm a 13 year old kid looking for stuff about my family. I know for a fact that I'm related to Harry A. Longabaugh (the Sundance Kid) because my great grandfather grew up with him, but does anyone know the link between George Harley Longenbaugh and Harry Alonzo Longenbaugh? And if you have any information on any of that family, I'd welcome the knowledge.

I am also looking for information on the Longenbaugh family, as my father claimed that we were related to the Sundance Kid. My Great Great Grandmother was Mattie Blanche Longenbaugh, her father was George Longenbaugh, but I don't have a middle initial so am not sure if this is the same George you mention. Am unsure of Mattie's mothers name, but believe it to be Julia Stalters. Any information would be most appreciated.

I'm looking for the same link. Have you found anything yet?

George was supposed to the a counsin to the Harry A Longabaugh, but I am yet to find this connection. I have found George's descendents.

Are you a descendent of George? If so, please repond, I'd like to pool our efforts in finding this information. Are you an actual Longabaugh descendent?

Thanks

Bambie

I have the genealogy connections for George Longabaugh cousin to Harry A Longabaugh. I am looking for a descendent of Harvey Longabaugh brother to Harry A Longabaugh, who's son is William Henry Longabaugh who's son is William David Longabaugh who has a son.

I am looking for this son. William David Longabaugh died in Goldsboro, South Carolina in 1988, but I can't find the obituary yet.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks

Bambie
