Ancestry.com destroying dna samples for mtdna and Ydna tests

My mother, who has since passed away, did the mtdna test. I would like that sample to be used for the autosomal dna test. However if Ancestry.com destroys the sample I will never be able to add her to our family Ancestry.com dna record. She tested with FTDNA and 23andMe but I would like her on our Ancestry.com autosomal dna family records as well. It's one thing to discontinue a test but destroying samples is something else. At least offer long time customers the option of autosomal testing those samples to be destroyed. My family doesn't mind paying for the autosomal test.
