Im a fairly new American with only 3 ethnicities. All my great grandparents came from another country so Im very cut and dry. 50% italian, 30% German and 20 Irish. I know when and where they were all born. But my results are:
76% central europe
9% caucasus turkish
Both my parenst are Italian and I didnt receive a drop of Italian DNA from either? How is that statistically possible? The Irish is only one great grandparent from Ireland so I guess it didnt reach me. And the German is 30% but seems to be the predominant. My father is half German and my mom a sprinkling. Is it possible the Geman DNA just shot down from both sides despite most of my DNA is Southern Italian? Im confused...
My closest match is my first cousin so thats one thing accurate
