I expected my DNA results to show my German ancestry, but it came out 95% British Isles and 5% unknown. 2 of my great grandparents are children of German immigrants, and one great grandmother is the child of German and Italian immigrants. I expected a high percentage of British Isles because from what I know, my dad's side all has origins in England. Is is possible that I did not inherit any DNA from my German and Italian great grandparents?
