Agree about ancestor pics! If you or your "grandma" was the lucky one who inherited the ancestral pics, I feel it is an obligation to share with your family. Wasn't that the original owner's intent of bequeathing the photos/documents? So that the recipient could safekeep to share w/future generations?
I want to share s heads-up warning about descendant pics. I had friended a 2nd cousin 1r on FB. I have never met her,yet knew she was a cousin. She was kind and sent me a few pics of great aunts via FB. We never exchanged Ancestry/Tree usernames.
Amazingly the next week, I come up w/ multiple new photo matches w/ my maiden name on ancestry.Imagine my shock to find myself,mom,dad,siblings, living first cousins as public pics on several ancestry trees! These were private family photos taken by ME, of very alive family and in a "friends only" album on FB. It seems, she had copied them from FB and posted them on ancestry! Just a warning about FB....for me it was a hard lesson.
