Alexanders, how do you know that you are not losing out on anything? The person you decide not to "invite" to your tree may well have crucial information on some of your lines, but since they haven't included those surnames in the tree you see, you will never know what you are losing out on.

And what objection do you have to attaching a barebones tree to your dna results that your matches can check for surnames, dates, and locales? I am curious why you would be averse to this.

Also, I wasn't directing my comments at anyone in particular, certainly not to you personally. It was more of a "if the shoe fits....."
