Response to question from Memorykeeper: Just FTDNA. I understand contact system is similar to 23 and me...you get a email address and if they have uploaded a gedcom, you can see a stripped tree (fine re lineage except without siblings it is harder to figure out matches). Most, however don't have gedcoms but i understand at a recent conference it was announced FTDNA was planning to upgrade its tree software. I have over 1000 matches there now and i would say less than 100 have a tree. Ancestry.com is much better, even with private, no tree, or tiny trees. I would be happy with just a surname match list to know whether it was worth contacting but i have about 600 private tree matches now at ancestry with no clue as to whether we have common surnames
