I know that I have ancestors whose lines go back thousands of years in the Pacific Northwest of North America and others who go back thousands of years in Europe. It's my assumption that my deep ancestry should reflect both of those elements and probably many, many tendrils off to other regions of the world, places I don't have a clue about. My AncestryDNA results don't indicate any of that complexity and diversity of origins. They just show Europe. Am I to believe that if I could follow my various lineages back thousands of years, I would find the majority of my ancestors were living in Europe?
