Well I have to some degree of reliability found 27 of those 64 gggrandparents. I could probable line up a few more if I prioritized my time there.

But to take something concrete and current: Richard III.

I've read 3 recent articles that each leave me with a different impression.

1. There is just too much guesswork and distance. We'll never be able to tell for sure if the DNA can be matched.

2. Under the right circumstances we can get an idea that is very high in probability.

3. We ding-dong nailed it with that DNA of the fellow in Canada. It's true. We have proved it scientifically. Case closed.

Richard III appears in my family tree as a 3rd cousin, 18 times removed. IF I get the raw results from my test here, and the research team releases their DNA results, would I be able to tell anything about the truth of my relationship?
If I did a couple of the other types of DNA, would I have a closer answer??
