Just to clarify, you said her "mtDNA" results which means mitrochondrial. Did you mean "atDNA", or autosomal? The mtDNA test will show a haplogroup for her maternal line (mother's mother's mother etc.), but you can also do a Y-DNA test using a male relative with her maiden name(brother, father, uncle, first cousin, etc.) to get the haplogroup for the father's father's, etc. line. The benefit of autosomal is it is not restricted to those narrow lines, the disadvantage is it can only go back so many generations.
