My husband doesn't have a single DNA leaf hint, 40 pages of hints, sliding the bar all the way to the right. He's had results since Nov.
Our daugther has hints all the time. Some relationships don't have a hint leaf, but when I click on the see match, occasionally a connection will be made and voila! we have mutual ancestors.
My husband's side has an unusual amount of 'kin' who have private trees or significantly UNdeveloped trees. Additionally, he has contact several folks and found that they are adopted. I am wondering if some of his ancestors are inaccurate or if his distant cousins out there have inaccurate ancestors, or if his relatives just tend not to be interested in genealogy (testing, or developing trees).
My connections (it took THREE attempts to test) didn't show hints until after a full week. I have even more matches and even MORE hints than my daughter. At this point, I'm confirming nearly every single branch for each grandparent, on through great grandparents. Of note, most of my matches are still through my paternal side, mostly through my father's parents.
