thanks, i know, but more often they don't have trees. and if they do, i have no way of knowing which tree is the DNA linked one, some people have several trees. i have 11 trees, 2 of which are entirely speculative works-in-progress (i keep those private to attempt to keep a lid on the rampant errors already on Ancestry), 6 are related to various branches of my family (all these are public), 2 are mostly direct lineage, these are public trees for my mother's and my DNA matches, and 1 private tree of my entire family where i keep photos and documents. if i didn't 'link' my DNA trees, some poor soul would be looking at my 11 trees and saying 'huh?' (i'm sure some people say that anyways).
