I am hoping to find someone who can help me decipher the location name in this photo of the confirmation register of a German American Lutheran church: First column on the left under "27 August 1879." Also in the far right column in the same row.

Another entry for a family member (sister) lists "Palesken" and "Palesckken" (which I believe to indicate Neu Paleschken) as the place of birth, so perhaps it is a nearby location? On the other hand, it could be a U.S. locality as 1879 is possibly the family's year of emigration.

Thanks to anyone who can help. This family has been a mystery for me up until now.
