Gene,
I believe the place you want to look is BREST (rather than Brent) in Brittany, France. Many Acadian families were exiled there during the expulsion as it was the first port of call for the ships crossing back to Europe from North America. Many of these died in the hospital there shortly after their arrival. Your Ancelet ancestors are not Acadian per se, but undoubtedly must have followed the same tracks as these people to Louisiana.
I believe that if you google the French Departmental Archives for that region, there may be something to help in their archives, either by an online database or a Q/A for their genealogical society (Circle généalogique).
