i am seeking relatives and our story. my great grandfather was Jefferson Hamans,married to Emma Hamans (maiden name Miller).Jefferson was born in 1847.his wife (emma was his second wife) in 1882.
Jefferson told my grandmother(his youngest daughter) that he was the son of the slave master, and that his mother was probaly a mix-breed indian and white woman, but she was definitely a slave.
