YOUNGSTOWN, OH – A funeral service celebrating the life of Mrs. Ollie Jackson will be held on Wednesday, July 18, 2012, at 1 p.m. at the Beulah Baptist Church. Mrs. Jackson departed this life July 14, 2012, at St. Elizabeth Health Center.
Mrs. Jackson was born Sept. 11, 1911, in Lela, Georgia, a daughter of Jude and Mamie Frampton Green.
She baking and spending time with her family. She was a beloved member of the Beulah Baptist Church, where she served in the senior choir.
She leaves to cherish her loving memory, two daughters, Shirley Foster of Youngstown, Ohio with whom she made her home and Agnes E. Kimbrough of Boardman, OH; five grandchildren, Courtney Stewart-Wingo of Virginia, Kimani Kimbrough of Washington, D.C., Tsekani A. Jackson of Fairfax, Va., Lavada J. Tookes of Tallahasse, Fla. and Patricia Williams of Miami, Fla.; 11 great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Charlie Jackson, whom she married in 1936 and who later died in 1988; two sons, Acy L. Jackson and Joseph Jackson; six sisters; two brothers; and a stepdaughter, Charlie M. Jones.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to services on Wednesday at the church.
Interment will be at Tod Homestead Cemetery.
