YOUNGSTOWN – Mrs. Lucille Harris, 82, passed away Thursday, June 5.
Mrs. Harris was born Dec. 27, 1925 in Marvin, N.C., a daughter of Isom Sr. and Annie Jane Chavis Little.
She was a domestic worker in private homes, a member of Eastern Star No. 48 and of the Mount Hope Cemetery Committee. She was also a member of Elizabeth Baptist Church, where she served on the Altar and Nurses Guilds.
Mrs. Harris leaves to mourn her loss her husband of 56 years, Roland; a daughter, Shirley McCall of Youngstown; two sisters, Helen Adams of Washington, D.C. and Delores Murphay of Youngstown; a sister-in-law, Harriett Little; three grandchildren, Tina Carter and Sonya McCall, both of Youngstown and John McCall of Columbus; three great-grandchildren, Tanisha Queener of Afton, Calif., Stephanie Carter of Youngstown and Jordan McCall of Columbus.
Her parents; three brothers, Isom Jr., Robert and Albert Little; two sisters, Sarah Phillips and Ida Mae Murphy; and a great-grandson, Jont’e Gray all preceded her in death.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Elizabeth Baptist Church.
There will be calling hours from 7 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Howard Rhoden Memorial Home and an hour prior to services at the church Wednesday.
