Searching for information on the Witt family
of Claiborne Parish, LA. Amanda "Mandy" Witt-
Reed was born 1845 in Alabama and later married
Elijah Reed. She later moved to Louisiana
(circa 1855). Mandy was the daugherof John Witt.
Mandy was known to have a sister named Charlotte
(married name unknown). Charlotte later lived in
the Shreveport, LA area. It was reported that
Charlotte had several children (names unknown).
