Hi. I am looking for information on an African-American family with the last name of King that came from King's Point, Dade County, MO. Specifically: Gaucher King, born July 1, 1868 in King's Point, son of Sam King and Rachel Stemmons. He lived most of his life in Carthage, Jasper county. And his sister (?) Mary KingScottt, born Oct 1869. Also, their mother was either Rachel Stemmons or Rachel King (not sure which was her maiden name), born around 1827 (?) possibly in Carthage. Her father is listed as being Cuffey King and mother Martha Matlock. Her brother (or brother-in-law?) was Henderson King, also with father Cuffey King, mother unknown, and born in Dade County around 1846. Could be former slaves of King family around King's Point?
