I am searching for information concerning the following persons:
1.Piere Bangs married Mrs. Samantha Ladnier on March 20, 1901 in Jackson County, MS. They had a daughter named Lilly or Lillian Bangs, who married first a Mr. Davis and second James L. Lowe. This family was from Jackson County, MS., but were in Biloxi, MS. in the 1930 census.
2. Mrs. Minnie Page married first a Willis Page, second a Mr. Hayes, third Lee Markham Fryou, and fourth, John J. Marion. They lived in Biloxi, MS. In the 1910 census, Minnie Page was living in Jackson County, MS. After that census, she lived in Biloxi, Harrison County, MS.
I have been told that these people began by being listed in the early census records as African American, then in later census records were mulatto...and then in the late census records, their race was Caucasion. I am searching for any information concerning these persons, their parents, and their family origins. Any help would be very much appreciated.
