Found in Hillborough, Orange Co. NC deed book 25 pg 108:
Know all men by these presents that I Roswell Huntington of the County Orange and State of North Carolina for and in consideration of the sum of $1769.15 to me in hand paid by William Huntington of the Town of Hillsborough and State aforesaid at and before the sealing and delivery of these presnt the receipt whereof I do hereby acknowledge and the said William Huntington from the further payment thereof do release and acquit have bargained sold and delivered and by these present do bargain sell and deliver unto the said William Huntington the following negros to wit: Dilce, Buck, Mary, March, Mariah and Sall. To have and to hold the said bargained negroes to him the said William Huntington, his executors administrators and assignes forever. In witness whereof I have herunto set my hand and applied my seal this 17th day of November int eh year 1828. Signed R. Huntington in the presence of Thomas Clancy and Lemuel Lynch. Bill of sale was duly proven before me William Norwood one of the Judges of the Superior Courts of Law and Equity in and for said State by the oath of Thomas Clancy one of the Subscribing witnesses thereto; let it be registered July 21st 1832 Wm. Norwood.
