Surnames: Day, Whetsel, Newsom, Bryd
Hi there. My family tree contains the following families: Byrd, Artis, Newsom, Mourning, and Ash.
Solomon Day's son, John, had a daughter, named Elizabeth, who married Abraham Whetsel. Abraham Whetsel was the brother of my maternal great-great-great grandmother, Martha Whetsel Hawkins Curtis.
Along the same note, I am looking for information on Martha's maternal grandfather, Henry Newsom, who was born in Northampton Co., NC, and migrated to Logan Co., OH, in the early 1800s. Henry's wife was named Dorothy/Dorotha Byrd.
I would be most appreciative of any insight that anyone is able to offer. Thanks, Sharon
