Funeral services for Mrs. Lydia Simpson, aged 80, who died Saturday at the home of her daughter, Mrs Ava Baker, 619 Amelia street, will be conducted at the St PAul A. M. E church at 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon and interment will be made in Greenwood cemetery.
Mrs. Simpson was the widow of Samuel Simpson and a member of the Methodist church. Surviving her are the following. children: Mrs. Bessie Cook of Pittsburgh; Mrs. Dora Brown of Dayton; Mrs. Edna Coleman of Newark (Ohio) Mrs. Samantha Hicks of Newark (Ohio) Mrs. Amelia Penny of Waynesburg (Ohio) Mrs. Baker of the home; 11 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. Mary Ransom of this city.
