Surnames: Thompson/Pendleton
Looking for info on slave owners in Rappahannock County Virginia.
3grandmother, Kate Thompson (1850-1924), may have been a slave. She lived in or near Castleton in Rappahannock County, Va. In 1867 she married a Lewis Pendleton also from Rappahannock County.
I have hit a brick wall, any info or suggestions/ideas on where to go from here would be a great help.
