Surnames: Durden/Durdin
I am a Durdin/Durden descendant researching Durdin's/Durden's from Morgan County, Georgia and the surrounding areas of Districts 396 and 397.

I am looking for information such as slave inventories, bills of sale, deeds and any other information that may assist me in finding out who owned my DURDIN/DURDEN ancestors during slavery.

My g-g-g-grandmother was Eliza Durdin (mulatto) b. 1828, Virginia. Maiden name: Unknown
Husband's name: Unknown
Date of Death: Unknown

Eliza had a daughter, my g-g-grandmother was Lilia (Lilli) Shepherd (mulatto) b. 1855, Georgia.

Lilia's husband's name: Unknown
Date of Death: Unknown

Lilia had the following children:

Maud (Eliza) (f/mulatto) b.1870, Georgia
Lou (f/mulatto) b. 1872, Georgia
Hosie (f/mulatto) b. 1874, Georgia
Idell (f/mulatto) b. 1876, Georgia
Henry (m/mulatto) b. 1880, Georgia

If you are a Durden/Durdin slaveholding descendant and have any information regarding these families please contact me via email at mygeorgiaroots@georgia.usa.com

Any assistance or information is greatly needed and appreciated.

Thank you,
Ruby Edwards
