Galloway/MacFarlane connection

Classification: Query
Surnames: Galloway, MacFarlane
Throughout the research I have done on my husband's ancestors, (who most recently and mistakenly thought they were Irish) the MacFarlane name pops up frequently. Stories passed on to me suggests that some MacFarlanes and Galloways may have come to the U.S. together and most definitely settled together in West Louisville and St. Joe, Kentucky. There, in a cemetery by the official name of Travis cemetery, are buried many Galloways and MacFarlanes. This also suggests that our Galloways were indeed a part of the MacFarlane clan. The earliest ancestor I have been able to trace back to is Three Plait Bill Galloway who at the age of 16 was a revolutionary war soldier from Virginia. It is my understanding that he lived his latter years on the MacFarlane Farm and was buried across the road in the cemetery mentioned above. My reason for posting (hopefully I am not breaking any rules) is this: Does anyone have any clan history on this particular Galloway family? Even if it is just an oral tidbit passed down, would be helpful. Sincerely, Debbie Galloway
