Hi John, I have been interested in doing mtDNA on my mothers line. She was Zella Hall Giles & b. in Monroe Co. TN in 1899. Her g gf was William Hall b. 1796 Lanark, Scotland & d. 1865 in Monroe Co. TN. Will the mtDNA going up her line show her Scots heritage? I've been meaning to join the Hall Clan for a long time but haven't gotten around to it. I see it advertised in the Family Tree.
