We have sent seventy two Grahams to Newcastle.
Of the seven principal Grahams four have submitted them selfs.
Alexander Graham of kirkanders ( ford )
Richard Graham son of Walter of Netherby.
David Graham of Bankhead.
Hutchin Graham of Rowcliffe
of the others one has been hanged the other has gone willingly to Flushing.
Jock of the peartree is the other, we have expelled the familes and uncovered the houses of those who still stand out.
There are other surnames whos lives have been no better than the Grahams.
August 14 1605.
We have been expecting to hear from you and to receive some of those who broke his majestys castle.
And some of the fugitive Grahams who we hear go about openly at Edinburgh and elsewere.
September 13 1605.
