Colin Sinclair Lockhart - What happened to Colin Sinclair Lockahart? Born 15 Oct 1875 son of William Lockhart and Isabella Armour. Appears in Scottish census of 1881 resident at 14 Walker Street Govan, Scotland with his siblings; William b.1864, Robert b.1871, Isabella b.1867 and Christina b.1870. Sometime after 1881 "taken into care" by Quarrier Homes and shipped to Canada as British Home Child (BHC) via SS. Hiberian. Arrived Halifax, Nova Scotia 10 April 1884, sent to Quarrier Home at Brockville, Ontario. Became ward of James Shaw of Drummond Township, Lanark County, (near Perth), Ontario, in 1884. Left Shaw household 1898 for Manitoba. Last record is 1901 census when he is resident in the District of Assiniboia near Flemming. Flemming is now on Route # 1 in Saskatchewan close to the Manitoba border.
