A Logan DNA study has been underway since January 2003. Sponsored by the Pre1800Logans forum of YahooGroups and conducted through Family Tree DNA, the initial purpose was to help identify relationships between various Logan families who were in America prior to 1800. To date, we have establish profiles on approximately 35 Logan families and we have 15 male Logan DNA participants representing 13 of these families. We are interested in adding both new families and new DNA participants. Please check up out at
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Pre1800Logans/. After esatablishing membership, you will find family profiles, data on family relationships as derived from DNA testing, census extracts, and other data of genealogical interest for Logan researchers. -- Jim Logan, Research Secretary for Pre1800Logans forum and Logan Surname Project.
