Could question you are asking. My family History shows the MacIsaac MacDonald name going back to at least 1650 AD. Today, other then a few family members, the majority of the family considers us to be the MacDonald family, Clanranald.

Any input you can offer on the above would be greatly appreciated. I am currently working on my Genealogical History going back 8 generations to one Donald MacIsaac MacDonald formerly of what is now Fort Augustus. My family then emigrated to Canada and formed what is now known as Glengarry County.

Travelling to Scotland in November and hoping to fill in some gaps prior to my trip.
