I have two different MacKay families in my ancestory, one family came from around Dornoch,Sutherland, the farthest I can go back with this one is 1792, the other MacKay's were from the Edderton, ROC area, early 1800's. Can anyone tell me how does one tell if they are truly from the Clan MacKay?
