My name is Robert William Hendry, descended from the Scotish Hendrys: Robert Hendry b.17 Mar 1752, Isle of Aaran; d. 31 May 1834 - Hinesville, Taylors Creek, Liberty County, Georgia.

I have been told by an "expert" I met at a Scotish Festival that my family is part of the Clan MacNaughton. Can anyone here verify that, or point me toward a source that can?

Also, if this is correct, can anyone tell my why or how this came to be?
