I am seeking information on the above named individual. Mirdoch MacPherson is alleged to have originated in Sleat, Isle of Skye. He came to Atlantic Canada in 1836 with a wife (Name unknown) who died during thew journey and was buried at Sea. Heaccording to the info. provider, wintered over in Rixton, New Brunswick, where he married Hannah MacDonald. In the spring of 1837 he continued his journey to Prince Edwatd Island and settled either in Lot 31 or Lot 24. During his journey he was accompanied by his father Murdoch(the elder of that name), and his mother. He and Hannah had at least one child, Ronald. Ronald was a farmer on Lot 24 as well as a school teacher in the Bluefield School, a school which served lot 24 and at least parts of Lot 31. Ronald married Marjorie MacLeod, and after her death, he married her youngest sister "Christy" (Christian). They had 3 children, Margerie, Sarah, and Murdoch (later known as William). Ronald married for a 3rd time. His wife was Mary Ann Burgoyne, his former housekeeper. Ronald died in 1904 and is buried in the cemetary adjoining the small Presbyterian church in Lot 24. Help is appreciated.
